The minute I stepped off the plane in Tel Aviv, I felt alone. I expected a wonderful sense of awe at the prospect of meeting Jesus face to face, but I just felt alone and afraid. Trying to overcome my anxiety, I pressed forward to the Israeli Customs check-in stations. When I reached the front of the line for Station 8, the questions started: Why are you in Israel? Why are you traveling alone? Where are you going? Do you know anyone in Israel? The check-in offical's suspicions grew with each unanswered question; sensing his apprehension, I froze. How do I answer these questions? Do I tell him that I am following a series of dreams and signs from God? Do I tell him that I am here for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ? Do I tell him that I am going to Galilee to wait for Jesus and write a book about the Seven Letters to the Seven Churches in Revelation? Finally, I mustered up enough courage to tell him that I planned to tour Galilee and do some Christian writing. He let me pass and released me to pick up my rental car. Before I could drive out of Tel Aviv...I got lost. I turned from street to street, trying to find my way from the airport to Highway 20. After multiple failures, I pulled into a gas station to ask for directions. I parked the car, got out, and walked toward the station attendant. Before I could open my mouth, he looked at me and said (as Jesus had told me in a dream), "Do not be afraid. I will help you find your way." Following his directions, I drove through Israel and arrived in Galilee at 7:15 pm on the night of January 17, 2005. Led by God's Spirit the next morning, I traveled along the northeast shore of the Sea of Galilee searching for the site of Jesus' return. Then I saw the lights. In my premonition, God's sign for Jesus' return site indicated that there would be outside lights on the property. Following this sign, I pulled into the parking lot for a large earth and stone stage surrounded by spotlights. I mounted the stage to begin my seven-day wait for Jesus, to pray for the church, and to write the book "Is Your Church Heavenly? A Question from Christ for Every Christian."
