In the book "Is Your Church Heavenly? A Question from Christ for Every Christian", Jesus Christ reveals that His Church needs to become vigilant in fighting against false teaching. Christ calls His Congregation to live in His Holy Light. The Apostle Paul issued Christ's Holy call to the church at Ephesus, when he wrote, "Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person - such a man is an idolater - has any inheritance in the kingdom of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them." (Eph. 5:1-11) As Christians, we must ask ourselves what darkness "those people" are spreading in today's churches and then shine Christ's Holy Light upon this darkness. The Bible describes false teachings as any lifestyle that promotes conformity to the pattern of this world. (Rom.12:2) False teaching leads to an easy lifestyle of escapism and a life filled with the allurements provided by Satan. Christ calls every Christian to expose today's false teachers that encourage living to satisfy self-desires, that offer heightened levels of personal fulfillment, that promise financial gain because of an active faith, and that compromise Bible doctrine. Jesus Christ extols every Christian to satisfy God's desires, to offer themselves as a living sacrifice to God, to invest their entire being in spiritual gain, and to seek true Biblical doctrine. Jesus Christ reminds every Christian that in His Church we hear solely and entirely of God. In His Church, we praise God, worship God, sing to God, thank God, confess to God, give ourselves up to God, and ask God's blessings. In His Church, we gather together with God the Father, with Christ the Son, with the Holy Spirit, and with the priesthood of those who of believe in Jesus Christ. And in His Holy Congregation, we realize that His Church is like heaven...because both in heaven and in Christ's Church we focus our whole being on worshipping God. "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." (Rev. 2:17) Christ's Church needs to become vigilant in fighting against false teaching.
